Who is responsible?
FemaleHealth.co.za is a women-focused information and enquiry platform. Clinical services are provided by Medify (Pty) Ltd at Medify, Waterkloof. For website privacy enquiries, contact hello@femalehealth.co.za.
Information we collect
The enquiry form asks for your name, surname, cellphone number, email address, broad area of concern, preferred contact method, a short optional message, adult confirmation and consent. Basic technical and security information such as the submission time and IP address may be recorded to prevent abuse and investigate delivery problems.
Why we use it
We use the information to respond to your enquiry, help arrange an appropriate consultation, maintain an enquiry record, protect the website and meet applicable legal or professional obligations. We do not use the enquiry form to diagnose or prescribe.
Health information
Health information is sensitive personal information. Please do not send a full medical history through the website or WhatsApp. Detailed clinical information should be collected through appropriate clinical systems and handled under Medify\'s patient-information processes.
Sharing and operators
Information may be processed by authorised FemaleHealth or Medify team members and service providers needed for website hosting, email delivery, security and practice administration. It is not sold. Information may be disclosed where required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety or professional obligations.
Retention and security
Reasonable technical and organisational safeguards are used, but no website or email system is risk-free. Enquiry information is retained only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose, legal obligations, dispute handling and security. Clinical records follow separate legal and professional retention requirements.
Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask whether we hold your personal information, request access or correction, object to certain processing, request deletion where legally available, or lodge a complaint with South Africa\'s Information Regulator.
