## The approach

### You choose what to discuss.

Changes related to age, hormones, pregnancy, childbirth, weight change or individual anatomy can affect comfort and confidence. A private consultation allows you to explain the concern in your own words.

Not every intimate concern is cosmetic. Symptoms such as pain, bleeding, discharge, a new lump, ulceration, urinary symptoms or pelvic symptoms may require a GP, gynaecologist, urologist or other appropriate clinician.

## What we can discuss

### Private consultation

Begin with a conversation. Examination is performed only when clinically relevant and with informed consent.

### Labial volume changes

Discussion of selected adult labial volume concerns, sometimes referred to as labial puffing, including limitations and alternatives.

### Intimate-area skin concerns

Assessment or referral where pigmentation, irritation, scarring or other changes need appropriate diagnosis.

### Referral when needed

FemaleHealth does not attempt to manage every gynaecological, pelvic-floor, sexual-health or urinary concern.

## Decision point

### A chaperone can be requested

You may ask about a chaperone and can pause or stop an examination or procedure at any time. Consent is specific and ongoing.

## Discreet intimate-area consultations for adult women

FemaleHealth provides a discreet first contact for adult women who want to discuss selected intimate-area aesthetic or wellness concerns with Dr Luhard at Medify in Waterkloof, Pretoria.

### Important scope

This service does not replace routine cervical screening, contraception care, antenatal care, emergency care, STI testing or a gynaecology assessment when those services are indicated.

## What women ask

### Will I need an examination?

Not necessarily. The reason, process and alternatives should be explained first. Any examination requires your consent.

### Can I bring someone with me?

Yes, subject to normal clinical privacy and room-safety considerations. You may also ask about a clinical chaperone.

### Is this service for minors?

No. FemaleHealth's intimate aesthetic and wellness services are for adults aged 18 and older.
